The Bundle

Bundle is one of those real simple "Why didn't I see this tip before" things. The premise is simple. Each application has a resource called "BNDL", or bundle, which tells what icon to stick on the application and its related files. Without the application, when you rebuild your desktop, the files lose their icons. What this does is add icons to those "orphaned" files. All you need to do is drop it into your drive. I've already added bundles for several common applications. If you have additional files you need iconed, you can do so using ResEdit.
